Especially in containers. Once again these are so easy to propagate from cuttings and come in a multitude of colour shape and form. As you can see I like to grow things that are easy, plants that I can produce myself with a minimum of fuss. Succulents certainly fit into this catagory provided you pick the ones suited for your conditions.Jo Watkinshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07789086720747273634noreply@blogger.com7tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7740914919761387956.post-65514482705065766542010-12-08T09:12:00.000-08:002010-12-08T09:12:46.597-08:00The Coleus Society: I could write a book about coleus . . .The Coleus Society: I could write a book about coleus . . .Jo Watkinshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07789086720747273634noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7740914919761387956.post-683782070761225992010-12-08T09:05:00.000-08:002010-12-08T09:05:30.687-08:00The Coleus Society: Photo Extravaganza! The Coleus Society: Photo Extravaganza!Jo Watkinshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07789086720747273634noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7740914919761387956.post-80445575307313300042010-12-08T08:56:00.000-08:002010-12-08T08:56:19.743-08:00The Coleus Society: The Proving GroundThe Coleus Society: The Proving GroundJo Watkinshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07789086720747273634noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7740914919761387956.post-64502494482939675882010-12-08T08:47:00.000-08:002010-12-08T08:47:08.325-08:00The Coleus Society: The Sport ReportThe Coleus Society: The Sport ReportJo Watkinshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07789086720747273634noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7740914919761387956.post-89160566247591763882010-12-06T16:22:00.000-08:002010-12-07T19:07:28.838-08:00ColeusThe Coleus are looking magic at present. I just adore the kaleidoscope of colours and multitude of leaf shapes that are available in this species. They are so easy to grow and versitile as well. Use en masse in borders for a real wow factor as in Roma St. Gardens. Make interesting pots and hanging baskets. This humble plant is considered somewhat old-fashioned by some, but I think well worth a second look. They suit planting with the more structured, architectural foliage plants such as Yuccas, Cordylines and Palms which is a popular style. They are so easy to propagate from cuttings, even in water they will root within a week or two. Find a favourite and end up with a garden full! Jo Watkinshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07789086720747273634noreply@blogger.com0
